Description:
Ms. Stumm is a strong advocate for her instrument and highlights the beauty of the viola through her innovative programming and enthusiasm. Her playing has been hailed by the Washington Post for its "opal-like beauty" and as the Guardian stated, "If one player should be singled out it is Jennifer Stumm." Make sure not to miss this exciting ending to our season! 4-6 p.m. Ms. Stumm recently made her solo debut at the Kennedy Center, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, and the Ravinia Festival of Chicago. She was the winner of major international competitions, including the William Primrose and Geneva Competitions in 2006 and the Concert Artists Guild, where she was the first solo violist to win the competition in the nearly 60 years of its existence. She holds a Bachelors of Music degree from the Curtis Institute, and earned her Masters of Music degree at the Julliard School. Derek Nieves In this side-splittingly funny murder-mystery farce, a creative team meets at a potential backer’s secluded mansion to pitch a new Broadway show.  During their visit, members of the group begin to drop dead one by one at the hands of a mysterious "slasher."  Trapped by a snow storm, panic, chaos and hilarity ensue as accusations are made and eventually the mystery is solved.  “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” is a clever and wildly comic romp!

FSU International Programs and the FSU Passport Office will be hosting an open house day on April 13th, 2012. For this event, the passport acceptance facility will extend the hours for which applications for U.S. passports and passport cards may be submitted. The usual office hours are 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM; on this date, the hours will be 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. It is hoped that this event will add convenience for students, faculty, and staff wishing to apply for a U.S. passport or learn more about IP. For more details, contact 850.645.9714.
