The Florida State University community is pleased to present the 24th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration beginning January 9 - 16, 2012. The theme for this year's event is "Stop! Dream! Act!" Each day of the week will feature a unique approach to celebrating the ideals presented by Dr. King during the civil rights movement. Dr. King was a man of non-violence who also understood the importance of social justice and was extremely conscious about issues that poison our communities.

We invite you to join our community to reflect on the teachings of Dr. King regarding nonviolence, service, and love. This opportunity provides us the opportunity to interrogate our accountability and responsibility on how to uphold the moral and social ideals and support our communities, as did Dr. King. The MLK 2012 planning committee has worked diligently to provide an insightful and empowering week of events. All are invited to join us throughout the week-long celebration.
