Pandemic Plan

With the pandemic possibility on the increase, your department should be aware of the university's pandemic plan. We have included information from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that outlines a checklist to assist universities in developing such a plan. Please review this document and go to the Environmental Health and Safety office website for more pandemic influenza information.

FSU employs an "all-hazard" approach to emergency planning. As such the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) will serve as the foundation for all emergency response at FSU. However, it is recognized that some specific hazards have their own peculiarities. Disease epidemics and influenza pandemics are one such hazard. The CEMP will contain "hazard-specific annexes" which outline these peculiarities and potential deviation from the master plan.

FSU is currently in the process of revising the CEMP and all the hazard-specific annexes. The planning process is scheduled for August, 2007. In the interim, below is some guidance from the CDC.
