Live Well Day at FSU
FSU Divison of Student Affairs presents 'LIVE WELL FSU DAY'
The Division of Student Affairs at Florida State University will launch its new health, wellness and safety initiative with "Live Well FSU Day."
Part of FSU’s strategic focus to develop a culture of wellness, the Live Well FSU initiative is designed to foster environments that encourage healthy behaviors essential to the academic success and holistic well-being of the FSU community.
"As a part of our strategic focus on wellness within the Division of Student Affairs, we have committed to communicate expectations for a healthy campus community, develop campus ecology to support wellness and to enhance pathways for health interventions,” said Angela Chong, associate vice president for Student Affairs.
Live Well FSU profiles nine dimensions of wellness: creative, emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social and spiritual.
"We believe this strategy, along with taking a holistic perspective to student wellness, will positively impact student opportunity and success," Chong said.
The launch event welcomes the FSU community to participate in activities and learn more about the dimensions of wellness. Activities will include yoga and fitness competitions, a wellness raffle, a plant-your-own-produce tutorial, a mindful eating showcase and arts and crafts. Organizations also will give away items that promote wellness.
