Allison H. Crume was appointed Associate Vice President for Student Affairs in July 2013. Dr. Crume leads the Engagement portfolio for the Division of Student Affairs at Florida State University. She provides leadership and support to the following departments: Student Engagement, Student Governance & Advocacy, Oglesby Union, and University Housing.
Dr. Crume teaches in the Educational Policy & Leadership Studies department in the College of Education at Florida State. She is an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), serving on the Region III Advisory Board for several years. Her research interests include campus governance, women in higher education, professional development, graduate preparation, and supervision.
Dr. Crume completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at Florida State University. Her additional degrees are a M.A.T. in Broad Field Social Science and a B.S. in history from Georgia College & State University. Prior to joining the FSU Division of Student Affairs, she worked at the Board of Governors, State University System of Florida in the area of Academic & Student Affairs.
