Assistant Director, Employer Relations (Career Development Specialist)

Serve as a Career Center Career Development Specialist for the College of Business and the School of Entrepreneurship planning and implementing career services for students/alumni and employers. Provide Career Services to students/alumni within the College of Business and School of Entrepreneurship to include career advising, conducting employability skills workshops, and communication of opportunities via newsletters. Liaison will advise students on job opportunities, internship/job search strategies, and utilizing Handshake and other services/programs of the Career Center. Assist Senior Assistant Director in the planning and organizing services/programs at the College of Business Satellite Office.

As a member of the Employer Relations Team, participate in employer development/recruitment by developing and sustaining relationships with businesses, government agencies, and non-profit employers seeking to recruit Florida State University students/alumni. Assist with other core Career Center programs/services including teaching SDS 3340, supporting Career Center events, providing outreach presentations, and advising students/alumni. Represent the Career Center in professional associations as well as within the University and Division of Student Affairs. Participate in Career Center and university committees as needed.

Provides daily leadership, supervision, staff development and evaluation for full-time Residence Coordinator(s), Program Coordinator(s), Graduate Assistant(s), and student-staff working with the Residential Student Experience (RSE) program. Responsible for the oversight and management of the residential student conduct process. Responsible for the oversight and management of documented student concerns, including, but not limited to: mental health, physical wellness, and behavioral concerns. Serve in on-call duty rotation. Provide crisis response to students, staff, and other constituents as needed. Work in conjunction with the Associate Director for Residence Life to liaison with the FSU Police Department, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, the Victim's Advocate Office, Case Management, the University Counseling Center, and the Title XI Office. Represent University Housing on departmental and division/University-wide committees. Complete other duties as assigned in support of University Housing.
