We will have multiple 30-minute information sessions throughout the year to answer questions. Please RSVP for an information session.

Round One: Student Application
In round one, candidates will complete the Torchbearer 100 application online. This is a student's opportunity to tell the story of their legacy of leadership on campus. Applicants will move through four questions that will prompt reflection on their personal development; the impact they have made throughout their time as a student thus far; draw connections between their experiences at FSU to how they hope to make a positive impact beyond campus; and how they envision continuing their relationship with Florida State after graduation.Round one will begin on Monday, September 14, 2026 and will close on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Round Two: Interview and Faculty/Staff Recommendation
Candidates will be notified on Monday, October 19, 2026 if they have been selected to continue to round two of the selection process. During round two, candidates will complete an individual interview with a panel of professionals from across the Division of Student Affairs and other units and request a faculty, staff or community member complete the recommendation form on the Torchbearer 100 website. The faculty, staff, or community member should speak to the candidate’s alignment with the Torchbearer 100 based on their personal development, investment in the university, and promise to well-represent Florida State beyond their time here. The candidate is responsible for the timely submission of their letter of recommendation. Faculty and staff members are welcome to recommend multiple students. Candidates invited to the second round will receive an invitation to register for their individual interview. Interviews will be held from October 26 to November 6. Letters of recommendation must be submitted via online form by December 4, 2026.
